A sharer is responsible for scheduling their time, but they have their choice of horses depending on their skill level. If they take lessons, they can ride the higher level horse under supervision until they qualify to ride the next level. Scheduling must be done in advance for the horse of their choice. As riding skills permit, participants are encouraged to try all of the horses available in the program. This is a great way to “test drive”! Riders will be able to see what type of riding style, western or English, that they prefer and, as their riding skills improve, they can move towards buying a more advanced horse, if that is one of their goals, or riding a higher level horse within the program. But, the greatest benefit is for the participants to be able to enjoy the wonderful benefits of being involved with horses without the long-term commitment and expense of horse ownership by just continuing with the Alaska Equi-sharing program.

“I Like It Hot” aka Marilyn

Reg. APHA red dun overo mare. An own daughter of Hot Scotch Man,  Marilyn is one of the horses available for sharing.  All of the horses are good quality, nicely trained, and well mannered.

Forever Party” aka Zoe

This reg. Thoroughbred mare is a granddaughter of Foolish Pleasure. Zoe is available for the advanced English rider. She has the kind of forward movement, and suspension that dressage riders desire. She is spirited, but does not get out of control. With her people loving personality, she is truly fun to spend time with.
